Each of us are the CEO of our complex, amazing, personal health ‘business’. I realize the importance of how we treat this business and how daily deposits and investments into our own ‘health account’ thrust us toward optimal health. It’s all about creating positive health inertia.

I learn from my patients and ask questions across a broad spectrum to reach unique solutions for each person. I view myself as an advocate and advisor for my patients and encourage personal accountability as this is the most important job you will ever have.

A History of Caring

Dr. Tuominen received a St. Mary’s Academic Scholarship from the University of Minnesota Medical School, where he also participated in the Rural Physicians Associate Program. He completed his medical residency in Duluth, MN and his first staff position was with the Mayo Clinic Health System gaining further experience in full-spectrum family medicine.

Dedicated Athlete and Traveler

Dr. Tuominen believes in practicing what he preaches and competes in many athletic competitions. He has participated in 70.3 Ironman triathlons, marathons and obstacle races — for both personal fitness and the enjoyment of seeing a community come together. He also loves spending time with his wife, four children, and extended family and has a huge passion for travel, culture, and new experiences.
